300 miles into a 966 mile road trip and we needed gas and food. This place looked cool, so we stopped in. I never got the name of our waitress, I don't think she even bothered to introduce herself. She ran around like a mad woman and just seemed not to care when there was a problem with our meal. Friday night and there is no signature Dave seasoning. Friday night and you run out of grilled chicken for the Cob salad and not bother to tell anyone, or mention it to the customer. Nor offer to take any off the bill. Probably won't stop again.

I'm glad my girlfriend's dad suggested we come here... this is another incidence where Yelp isn't just wrong, but far from it. We came here at 7ish on a Wednesday evening to a mostly empty restaurant inside (outside was a bit busier). Our service was fine, unlike many here are saying, and we also all really liked the food. I had a "bowl" of chili at their Detroit location and was insulted at the price, but thought it was good. Here I got a 4oz burger with bacon, a fried egg, bleu cheese, creamy Sriracha sauce, lettuce, and onion on a brioche bun. The bun was a little dry, but the burger was really surprisingly good. It was a little overcooked for my liking but I didn't mind. They absolutely loaded my burger with the Sriracha sauce, making it the messiest burger I've ever eaten. They also have very good fries, which taste great dipped in their garlic buffalo sauce which, incidentally, tastes a whole lot like the Spicy Garlic sauce from BWW. The spicy macaroni and cheese was also great. I've found a new favorite chain restaurant, for sure. All while eating I asked myself a couple times if I was sober and I was. The only downfall of Bagger Daves is probably that it's just a little too ovewhelming. The menu is a monster, and then they also have a create-your-own burger and fries menu. One of the best sit-down restaurants in Birch Run, and a much better experience than the BWW that shares the same building. TL;DR: Awesome food, even when sober.

Summary: Only 1 star because while BD's has good food in general, the horrific service service at this location almost made us just get up and leave. Dine at your own risk. Detailed: I really want to like Bagger Dave's as a company, honestly I do...but other than the Sterling Heights and Novi locations, I've had to suffer through incorrect orders and obnoxiously long wait times every time. I'm not going to completely name who our server was, so I'll call her C****n. C****n took over 5 minutes to get to our table and take our order, drinks and food, and left. 15 minutes later we finally received our drinks. 30 minutes later after no check-up, we were asked if we wanted refills. 15 minutes after that (so now our ticket time is over 1 hour), I had to ask some of the general staff for help getting our drinks and food because C****n just wasn't cutting it with any of her tables. Shockingly, we received our refills in about 2 minutes (crazy, right?), the food shortly thereafter, and the manager came over to talk with us for a little bit. After hearing the excuses and reasoning for the exceedingly long ticket time, he said he would have a look at our bill and see what he could do. While the manager seemed like a nice guy, when C****n gave us our bill there was no comp or anything on there...likely because he forgot. We had just about enough at that point, and didn't want to waste another 15 minutes tracking him down, waiting for change, etc etc. we already wasted too much time there (1.5 hours total by the time we left). So again...I honestly want to like BD's, but they have a company-wide issue they need to address with their kitchen and their waitstaff because this problem is Michigan-wide; And this store was no exception. Bottom line is that if you're in a hurry or don't want to wait over an hour for food, id recommend going somewhere else unless you're a gambler

Just had the pleasure of dining here, Kendra was our server. I was in the service industry for about 15 years and can honestly say I've never witnessed anyone who appeared to care less. Kendra took our order, drinks and food at the same time. After about 10 minutes we realized we didn't get our beers. About that time we noticed our food in the window. About 5 minutes later, we see Kendra has ended her conversation and moseyed over to the window. She starts snacking while loading our food on her tray. She drops it off and we cancel our beers. We enjoy our meal, it was fine. Our water is empty. Kendra never checked back until my boyfriend had already finished his burger. She comes and asks if we want more water. Refills and asks if she can take anything away, we are both clearly mid-bite. She deposits our check mere moments after that, I hadn't even finished half of my meal.

We enjoyed great service and food on a weekday. The menu is different but the atmosphere and decor is cliched. I liked the crispy sweet potato chips with honey cinnamon dip. The Mac & Cheese was okay. The lemonade tasted terrific.

***Travelers Know*** being that this is a local establishment in Michigan, know that locals usually have their expectations and unfortunately the locals have their standard! Food and service was great! Bartender Alex took care of us and the service was haste! Compliments to the chef as well!! When in Burch Run hit this spot, we will be back next year for HTCC Michigan and will be sure to visit here!

The food is OK but waited a hour and half for food. I have enjoyed the food at locations in fort Wayne in and grand blanc mi but will never eat at birch run again

We decided to come to bagger daves after hearing such great things from multiple friends. We've been here for over 45 minutes and we just got our drinks. The "handcrafted" sodas are flat and have no flavor. One member in our group was completely skipped over when we finally got to order food. When we asked to speak to a manager, he came over and the waitress shooed him away before we ever got to speak to him. We are very tempted to leave and never return to this location ever again

I'd heard good things about Bagger Daves before but had never been. I spent the first 10 minutes at the table reading the story about the founder rather than looking at the menu. I had their pink lemonade with pomegranate juice and it was delicious. Apparently they make all their own sodas (or pop if you're local) in house and have no traditional options ie. coke, Pepsi, sprite. I thought that was kinda cool. I ordered a Siracha burger Medium and fries. Burger was medium well or nearly well done but still was delicious. The fries were really good as well. Service was average but we had everything we needed. All round good experience, not necessarily outstanding but met my average expectations.

I've had Bagger Dave's twice. The first time was forgettable and underwhelming. I only recall it being expensive for what we got. However, today I had an urge for a burger, but didn't feel like cooking so my wife and I decided to give it another try. The service was fine, the food was not. The burgers had interesting toppings, but were very small for the price. However, worse than the price and size was the actual meat. Instead of having the sort of crumbly texture one might expect from fresh ground beef, it had a weird, springy texture I might associate with pork sausage or a kebob; but definitely not a good burger. It was genuinely off putting, and the meat itself was pretty bland. Super disappointing for a restaurant that is not only all about burgers, but is awfully expensive for a burger. I also had the "Smokin' Hot Macaroni and Cheese" which was absolutely not smokin' hot. The macaroni was so overcooked it was basically mush, and the only difference between it and the regular mac and cheese was a coating of a creamy chipotle sauce of some kind (reminded me a lot of baja sauce from Taco Bell to be honest) and a bit of pico de gallo. It was not even moderately spicy. On the upside, my wife got some sweet potato chips that were very tasty. Again, for a little pouch of chips, the price was high. Overall it was a bad experience. It wasn't disgusting, but it also wasn't worth as much as most fast food I've eaten, and was markedly worse than your average fast-casual restaurant burger. If you want a good burger, look elsewhere. I know a few places in the greater Saginaw area (Savoy Bar and Grill, Gabby's Pub) that make a good burger for a decent price. Not sure about Birch Run though; maybe they have a local bar that makes a good burger?

When ordering drinks, we were told they didn't have Coke or Pepsi products but instead had their own soda they made in house. We agreed to get Cola and it was like drinking water. We asked to replace the drinks for shakes. The shakes were a little watery also but not too bad. The burgers were good and the fries also. Our waitstaff was very slow and often walked by without asking how we were and it took a very long time to get our bill at the end. Not a bad burger but most likely won't return.

Food was decent, prices were high. Service was fine but portions were small for the price. I paid 10.25 for a par burger with no side. I probably won't be back anytime soon. Also the bathrooms needed a cleaning pretty bad and the host didnt seem attentive or ever at her station. The tablets the waitresses use also didn't function correctly hindering their performance.

My wife and I stopped in just before 2 on a Sunday, it was busy but not packed. We waited about 15 minutes to get a seat, no biggy. We placed our drink orders within 5 minutes then immediately placed our food order because we were in a slight rush. We left an hour later with no food or refilled drinks...never again. Skip this joint.

Gave Bagger Dave's a second chance today. We were greeted and seated immediately and the restaurant was not very busy. My spouse liked his Tex-Mex Bowl. My son ordered the smaller version of the BBQ burger but got served the full size. My burger came out without the bacon, but rather than bring out the bacon, they took the burger away and remade the whole thing. Which means my family was finished eating before I got my food. They also forgot my order of fries, but tried to make up for it by bringing 2 orders after I pointed it out. The fries are great, and when I finally got my burger, it was juicy and delicious. Bagger Dave's makes their own soda pop and I am not a fan--not a single bubble or fizz in my 'diet cola'. Their version of the Bloody Mary was pretty good. I'll be back because the food is very good, but I sure hope they get their act together.

The "cola" tasted like water.... Slow service..... Burger and fry was good at least, probably won't be returning...

First time here. Let's see what happens! Well. This is how it is. First off, I was really excited to come here and try it out. I've never been and was hoping for something really special. For being a "fresh prime rib recipe burger", I was expecting a burger with lots of flavor, and really juicy. Not that it isn't juicy, but I do not think the best part of a good burger should be the other toppings like the tomato and lettuce. The bun was pretty good too. The burger was just ok at best. Nothing spectacular, and really no flavor. The fries for $3.25 are good. But not worth the $. The Twisted Mac and cheese side for $4.75 was definitely not worth it. Was very tempted after my first bite to just send it back. The only thing "Twisted" about the Mac and cheese was the fact they think they can charge that amount, for something so not tasty. Not enthusiastic about this place. Do not think I will ever step foot in here again.

This place is AWESOME. Delicious food. I had the Cobb Salad and it was fantastic. My boyfriend built his own burger and said it was better than those made at Basement Burger in Canton. Love that they only serve Michigan craft beers on draft. Atmosphere is good. Bartender Bobbie is the best bartender I've ever had. She's extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She's friendly and amiable. She provides great service. Absolutely love her. Go to Bagger Dave's in Birch Run and sit at the bar with Bobbie!

Rrenea (that's how you spell it - I checked) you are awesome! First time at BD & you were so nice - I hope I you're our person next time we come back. & I will be ordering the Tex-mex bowl again- it was the perfect! So happy that this restaurant offers an option that is delicious & doesn't make you feel like you ate a dumbbell after 2 bites.

This is a great choice for dinner. The food was hot when it was supposed to be hot in the beers were cold...giant portions of fries and gravy macaroni and cheese :-)I love the toasted but not too toasted sourdough bread on the sandwiches and the Burger seem pretty darn yummy as well. Don't forget to stop at this new Birchrun restaurant the next time you are close.

I was curious to try this out so I drove here on a whim with a friend of mine. We both love food and so it wasn't hard convincing her. Burgers...YUM. We loved our burgers. Price? Holy shit, my burger was over $10 and it was just for a burger. Fries are extra. Don't get me wrong, I inhaled my burger but burgers and fries go together like salt and pepper. Service? Not impressed. Neither one of us were that impressed and we work with the public too. Waitress didn't even approach us for about ten minutes. I understand people can get busy, but even a "sorry, I'll be right with you" would have been a little better than the silent treatment. Asked if we had been there before and when we both said no, she just kinda shrugged and didn't say anything else other than ask what we wanted to drink. After we finished, she pretty much threw my check at me and a check at my friend and then kinda laughed and said, "I dont even know if they are right, I just kinda threw them down." Well, they weren't right. And she literally did just kinda "throw them down." Never came back to see if everything was okay during our meal either.

It's new so I'll review them again in a few months, but man was it a disaster. We were seated quickly, but nobody ever came to our table for 25 minutes. Four different waitresses walked by and nobody asked us if we had been helped. Eventually a manager came out, took our drink orders and brought us a free appetizer. After 10 minutes our sodas came out. They make their own, which is a mistake. Watery, flat, ugh. The appetizer looked okay, basically fries with a pile of blue cheese, buffalo sauce, and bacon. Things that are good on their own but not so much all together. The girl who brought us the appetizer just plopped it on our table and walked away. We had to go to the hostess to ask for silverware, and instead of getting them for us she told us to go up to the counter. Talk about lazy! Next we got our food orders taken and after a half hour they finally came out. Stay away from the zip sauce, it ruins an otherwise good cheeseburger. It tastes like...hippies. Ugh. The bill was finally brought out 20 minutes after we were done eating, might have seen our waitress twice. Not sure if she was new to serving or what. In there for almost 2 hours.

Our orders came as described, and what seemed like a timely manner. However, the manager seemed to disagree and comped us part of our meal and give us a gift certificate. We didn't even complain...

The service was mediocre. But the food was so bland. I ordered a bbq bacon burger and the only thing I could taste was the sauce. Fries had no salt or seasoning as if they drop it in the frier and served it when it was ready. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese took one fork full and that was the last. The grand Blanc bagger daves is better.

Stopped at this location on Tuesday night for dinner after a short trip to Frankenmuth. At 6:15, the wait was between 20 and 30 minutes, which was not too bad. The waiting area for patrons is small and cramped, however we were seated within about 15 minutes so it was not too bad. Upon sitting down, we were greeted by our server who took our drink orders. She returned in a timely fashion but seemed a little rushed. We ordered 2 burgers, fries, and a kids mac and cheese. This is where the problem started. We waited and waited for our food and with a active 2 year old that is rough! After 30 minutes without our meals or a refresh on drinks, I finally waived down our server and asked if she could check on the status of our dinner. About 10 minutes later our food came out. I ordered my burger a medium and my wife ordered hers medium well. Needless to say, mine was overcooked and hers was medium. The server never came and asked how our meals were. However, the kids Mac and cheese was extremely tasty! Other than the food being cooked incorrectly and the spotty service, the taste was pretty good. It's a place that we may try again when we are in the area.

Stopped into Bagger Dave's for lunch around 1:30pm. We placed our order and got drinks pretty quickly. After waiting about forty minutes for our order of burgers, a chicken sandwich, and fries, the waitress came to our table and said that the food was delayed because the "system was down". We waited another 20 minutes and still did not have our food delivered. Furthermore, the waitress never stopped by to refill our drinks. At this point, we left the restaurant (still did not have our food delivered). The restaurant was not that busy at this time. This was a terrible experience and I will never return to this Bagger Dave's location again. I have ate at the Bagger Dave's location in Ann Arbor before and never had issues like this. If you want to eat Bagger Dave's food within a reasonable amount of time and with friendly, helpful service, go down to the Ann Arbor location!

Horrible service on a slow evening, the server didn't come back after she brought out our food. Burgers over cooked , never got drink drink refills. Had to flag sever down for our bill which took forever . Over priced . Never coming back!

As this restaurant is calling itself a burger bar, I wrongfully assumed that I would not be served an obviously frozen, preformed Patty. I was not impressed by this establishment at all. I can get a mediocre burger and fries anywhere for a fraction of the cost. The service was okay, I've had a LOT better. I do like that they have their own sodas, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.

I went in with my son on a slow day for lunch. I had the best turkey burger ever, and my son enjoyed some ma and cheese. Although the train was broke that day he was super psyched they had one. This train runs on a track towards the ceiling and it's pretty cool! Nice staff too!

Stopped at the bagger Daves in Birch Run on a Tuesday afternoon got seated quickly appetizer came out good the only problem I had 1025 for a hamburger with no fries, Birch Run Michigan I don't think that's going to go too far. My hamburger and beer was almost $18 Wow

Just opened, stay away until they get the bugs out of the system. Ordered: Burgers, fries, sweet potatoes chip, flat bread pizza, chicken sandwich & mac and cheese was very good. Service was good, trying! Several burgers came out wrong, reorder take 30 minutes or more. Not good for large groups!

Visited this location a week ago. Three of us got the flatbread appetizer, cheese burgers fries and sweet potato fries. App was real good. Flavorful. Burgers took nearly an hour and was dried out beyond edible. Fries and dippers were good. Brought the dried burgers to the attention to the shift manager and was told they needed to work the bugs out. I wish she would have said "I'm sorry but I hope you'll give us another chance. " instead we got a scripted excuse telling me they weren't ready to open because they hired incompetent people who couldn't cook a burger. I don't think this place will last too long.

Wasn't good at all . Very disappointed! Their pop is suppose to be special made.... It was like drinking syrup. Won't be back since there are too many other choices.
